If you pause or shut down an Ebook Central Demand-Driven Acquisition (DDA) program and have automated holdings from Ebook Central to Alma enabled, the following actions are recommended to ensure updates are applied appropriately:
If you re-start your DDA program in the future, you will need to adjust Visibility in LibCentral and request the automated holdings feed to Alma be re-enabled.
- To disable access to DDA titles in the Ebook Central patron interface, the Visibility setting in LibCentral under Settings > Access Permissions is changed from “Owned, Subscribed & DDA Selected” to “Owned & Subscribed”. DDA titles are no longer visible in the patron interface.
- To remove the DDA titles from your CZ collection in Alma, submit a case to Ebook Support and request to disable the automated holdings feed to Alma for DDA titles only. Once the feed is disabled, a delete file will be sent to Alma to remove DDA titles from your CZ collection for Ebook Central.
