Ancestry has notified ProQuest that due to a technical issue on Ancestry’s side, the session count data in customer COUNTER Database reports is incorrect for the time period of December 10, 2018 through January 22, 2019. These incorrect session counts overstate the number of sessions during that time period for both Ancestry Library Edition and HeritageQuest Online.

As of January 23, 2019, Ancestry has fixed this technical issue and the session counts from January 23 forward are correct and accurate.

As Ancestry’s distributor in the library market ProQuest provides customers the usage statistics that we receive directly from Ancestry. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the technical issue Ancestry has advised that corrected session counts for the December 10 through January 22 time period cannot be provided or recovered.

We apologize for this inconvenience and realize this can make it difficult to evaluate sessions for the time period in question, however sessions from January 23rd forward are accurate.
