Why am I missing cover images for some ISBNs?
We may not have a cover image in the database for the ISBN(s) in question. If you know your Syndetics client code, you can check this using the following instructions. If you do not know your client code, please contact technical support for assistance.
Use the following URL, entering an ISBN after the isbn= and changing “clientcode” to your own client code.
If you find we do have a cover image in our database and it is not displaying in your catalog, please check your MARC records. There may be an incorrect ISBN listed or the ISBN could be missing altogether.
If you have the correct ISBN listed in the MARC record, please check to make sure it is in the correct field. ISBNs should be listed in 020 subfield a. If a number is instead placed in 020 subfield z, it will be ignored by most scripts because this field should be reserved for incorrect ISBNs.
