What happens if you do not activate your My Research email address?

When a user creates a new My Research account, we send an automated email to the email address entered by the user, confirming their creation of a new My Research account. The email asks the user to confirm their email address by clicking on a link. The user can start using their My Research immediately, without ever confirming the email address. However, if the user does activate their email address, forms in the interface with a field for an email address will pre-populate with it when the user is logged into My Research.
