How does the “Other Items You Might Like” feature work?

When a document is indexed by the ProQuest platform search engine, the search engine runs an analysis and extracts what it believes to be the most relevant keywords and terms from the document’s title, abstract, subject terms, and full text (where available). When a user accesses the Document View page for any given document, the search engine retrieves those keywords and terms, and runs a search against them in the Key Fields + Text index and displays the results to the user in relevance-ranked order (note that only documents the user has rights to access are included).
