Some other notes about linking into the Dissertations:

  • The title needs to be URL escaped.
  • Punctuation does matter so there will need to be a comma between the last name and first as well as appropriate periods in the degree.
We recommend removing all punctuation characters from titles for best results.
  • Al l the Meta-Data except for the ISBN is AND’ed together.  If any one piece doesn’t match the index record in our system, the OpenURL will retrieve no results.
If a peice of Meta-Data is not known to be valid, leave it out.  This may result in some extra results to look through, but it will prevent getting a flase "No Results Matched".
  • If the au tag is populated then the other author sub-tags are ignored
  • ISBN, if present, is OR’ed with the rest of the Meta-Data
