Q1: Can ProQuest redirect Dawson URLs to Ebook Central?
A1: No, ProQuest does not have control over Dawson URLs. Therefore, customers need to update their links on their reading lists, link resolvers, discovery tools etc. For existing Ebook Central customers, MARC records of migrating titles can be exported from LibCentral prior to switching or post-switch from Dawson.

Q3: What are the options available for automated holdings updates?
A3: The following platforms are supported for auto-holdings updates: ALMA Customers who have switched their Dawson titles to Ebook Central and already have Auto-Holdings in place (known as integration profile on Ex-Libris), should de-activate corresponding Dawson portfolios on ALMA after the switch is complete. Those who don’t have Ebook Central/ALMA auto-holdings active should update the relevant ALMA CZ profiles or their local collection as needed.

Customers should unsubscribe any migrated Dawson titles from their Intota admin account after the switch is complete.
  Customers using Worldcat need to review their links and make the necessary changes from the OCLC end to make sure titles moving to Ebook Central are not being linked to through “inactive” Dawson links. Existing Ebook Central customers already using Ebook Central MARC auto-updates to download MARCs locally; If they are set up to automatically get Adds and deletes, they will get the migrated titles according to their usual schedule.

Q4: How could customers migrating to Ebook Central activate titles on ALMA that are not part of the migration (Dawson titles not migrating to Ebook Central)?
A4: Any remaining titles that have not been matched to any titles on Ebook Central, and so will not be migrated to Ebook Central, will need to be activated by the customer through ALMA CZ profiles or their local collection.
