Automated holdings updates for your Ebook Central owned and DDA-discoverable holdings are now available for Alma.
To enable this service:
- Contact Ebook Support through the ProQuest support center to ask for automated holdings for Alma to be enabled in Ebook Central. Please provide your Ebook Central site ID and let us know if you would like to send owned or DDA titles, or both.
- Create an integration profile in Alma. For assistance with this step, please contact Ex Libris support via their support portal.
- The ProQuest Books division weekly updates occur on Wednesday. The Alma weekly integration job updates occur on Monday, but can be scheduled for a different day of the week in Alma if desired. Instructions for changing your schedule are available on the Ex Libris Knowledgebase. The updates processed on Monday by Alma reflect the updates processed by the ProQuest Books division on the previous Wednesday. This comprises one cycle of updates. Note that with this schedule, some updates (depending on which day of the week that they occur) may take a little more than a week to appear in Alma. For this reason, libraries may wish to schedule the Alma integration job for Thursdays to support timely updates to the Ebook Central Perpetual and DDA Titles collection.
If you are a member of a consortium on Ebook Central, we will send the consortium owned and DDA titles that are visible to your patrons on your Ebook Central site along with your locally-held titles.
Ebook Central also offers automated holdings management with Ex Libris' Intota and OCLC's WorldCat Knowledgebase.
