Error Messages for Academic Accounts
Error Message: You are blocked for this action. (Error 131134)
Explanation: This error message appears if you attempt to create a personal Saved Search. Personalized features for individuals, including Saved Searches, are not available on Academic Accounts.Note that Account Administrators may create Group Saved Searches, which are available to multiple users on an account.
Suggestion: Contact the Account Administrator if the Saved Search you wish to create would be of use to many people.
Error Message: You are not authorized to create Alerts. Please contact your account administrator. (Error 30112)
Explanation: This error message appears if you attempt to create a personal Alert. Personalized features for individuals, including Alerts, are not available on Academic Accounts. Note that Account Administrators may create Group Alerts, which are available to multiple users on an account.
Suggestion: Contact the Account Administrator if the Alert you wish to create would be of use to many people.
Error Message: You are not approved to log in to Factiva from this network (IP address). Please contact your corporate library or local administrator. (Error 131110)
Explanation: Many Academic Factiva accounts accomplish security via IP restriction. This means that you must be accessing the product from an IP address that is recognized as being a valid point of access as predetermined by your institution. If you attempt to access your Factiva product(s) outside of a recognized IP address, you will receive the error message noted just above.
Solution: Use an IP recognized by your institution when accessing Factiva products.
Error Message: The user ID and password you have entered are already in use. Please try again later or click on the Having trouble logging in link next to the login button of your product for assistance. (Error:131005)
Explanation: An institution’s subscription to Factiva consists of a finite number of allowable sessions or concurrent logons. What this means is that a predetermined number of active sessions are allowed based upon your institution’s direction. Once the number of active sessions are reached, any subsequent attempt to access will be met with the message appearing just above.
Solution: Wait until a new session becomes available (this happens when another user logs out) or you can check with your Account Administrator.
Error Message: Your user ID is not active. Please click on the Having trouble logging in link next to the logout button of your product for assistance. (Error:131035)
Explanation: Your institution’s Factiva account is no longer active.
