How do I make corrections to my dissertation or thesis if it has already been submitted to or published by ProQuest?



To begin the correction process, please contact customer service at disspub@proquest.com, or call 1.800.521.0600 ext. 77020.

To make corrections to a published dissertation, ProQuest requires the following:

  1. Required is a letter or email containing permission/approval from the graduate office at your university giving authorization for the changes to be made to your published dissertation/thesis.
  2. A complete, corrected copy of your dissertation/thesis.
    Electronic versions must be in PDF format, with fonts embedded and the document non-encrypted (without password protection).
    If emailing, the PDF can be attached and emailed to disspub@proquest.com with your correction request and approval (depending on the size).
    If mailing, the PDF can be copied to a CD and included with your permission letter.
  3. A correction fee in the amount of $47.00, in the form of check or money order, made payable to ProQuest. Credit card payment may be made over the phone with a customer service representative.

Note: The correction to your dissertation/thesis will only apply to the published version with ProQuest and the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Repository online. If your university has an institutional repository, we recommend working with your graduate office to facilitate correction(s).
