How do I create custom login URLs for ProQuest?



Authorized library personnel can create custom ProQuest platform login links within the ProQuest Administrator Module to database(s) or subject(s), enabling users to access the ProQuest platform through customized settings.
NOTE: The ProQuest Administrator Module is for authorized library/institution personnel only. Please contact customer service if you do not have an account set up, or if you forgot your login information.

  1. Login to ProQuest Administrator Module at http://admin.proquest.com.
  2. Click on User Interface on the left side of the page.
  3. Click on the Create a ProQuest Login URL.
  4. Choose the database(s) you want the link for.
  5. Click on Customized interface settings for interface language and start page options.
  6. Click Create Link.
Create Direct Database URL

Authorized library personnel can also create links to specific subjects. To do this, click on the Select Subjects tab and follow steps 4-6 above.

Below are the available options for start pages:

You can also retrieve direct database URL's, for single database's, from the database selection screen within the search interface.

  1. Login to the ProQuest platform at http://search.proquest.com.
  2. Click on the database selection link at the top of the page - searching "XXXX databases".
  3. Hover over a database name you want the link for.
  4. In the lower left corner of the screen you will see the URL. You can also right click, copy the URL, and remove the extra information from the link.

Formats:
Single database URL - http://search.proquest.com/{database identifier name}
Example: http://search.proquest.com/abiarchive

Multiple database direct URL - http://search.proquest.com/?accountid={accountid}&selectids={database numericalID},{database numericalID}
Example: http://search.proquest.com/?accountid=XXXXXX&selectids=1006371,10000008
