How do I request rush delivery for orders?

Two types of Rush service are available from ProQuest. During Checkout, users will be presented with the default option of Standard delivery or the appropriate Rush option based on location and the title's stock availability.

Our Rush services are tailored to best serve each customer's geographical location. At this time, Rush service is not recommended for customers outside the US, Canada, or UK due to geographical and border constraints.

All Rush orders, once placed, are identified as such in OASIS.

Stock Rush

When an item is available In stock in a ProQuest or partner's inventory, we can offer a drop-ship service directly from one of these warehouses to the library in a plain brown box with a packing slip. This is an opt-in service which requires additional account configuration to ensure proper order mapping.

UPS is the default method; if expedited (overnight) service is required, please advise.

Customers will be charged the actual freight charges incurred by the shipment regardless of other freight agreements, and no shelf-ready services will be applied. An emailed PDF invoice from ProQuest will follow soon after.

Turnaround time may be 2-4 days, depending on the time of day when the order was placed, the volume of available stock, and the location of the shipper relative to the library.

Phone Rush

When an item is not in stock, ProQuest charges a flat fee per title to contact the publisher by phone and request a rush order.

Once the publisher has confirmed that titles are available for shipping, turnaround time may take an additional two weeks to be received by the library. They will be given priority from sourcing through to shipping. Shelf-ready services may still be applied if desired.
